A great place to stay for a short Blue Mountains escape Positive: Very warm and cozy rooms. Convenient parking. Easy walk to the Blackheath high street. Negative: Reception not staffed throughout the day. Checkout time (10am) different to what was stated on Booking.com (11am)

Positive: Beautiful, comfortable, well-appointed room. Walking distance to main shopping street much appreciated. Good coffee pods. Negative: Very small common area. Was crowded when several people were trying to have breakfast. No table to sit at. This probably doesn't matter in warm weather, but in the dead of winter is another thing. Insufficient specialty breakfast items (e.g. English muffin sandwiches, boiled eggs) to meet needs of all guests. Basic cereals, yogurt, bread for toast, orange juice in good supply. No guidance on using dishwasher, so it appeared that some people put dirty dishes in among clean dishes.

Excellent Value for Money Positive: The garden at the entrance was lovely. Our room was quiet and looked gorgeous, and the bed was super comfortable. Also, the breakfast variety was excellent. Negative: Seeing no staff at any stage of our one-night stay seemed impersonal.
