Very relaxing Positive: It was great having the self-serve breakfast and cake area available all day. Guest house is lovely with lots of character and beautiful garden, but still with modern conveniences. Room warmed up quickly in winter. Close to town. Hosts friendly and helpful.

Excellent value for money, beautiful garden aspect and close to all you need Positive: Walking distance to shops and restaurants, quiet, breakfast allocation is excellent and rooms beautifully appointed.

Beautiful, luxurious, comfortable but with some compromises Positive: This is a truly beautiful historical guesthouse. The rooms are lovely, and the whole atmosphere is luxurious. Bed was very comfortable. Self-service breakfast was available in the sitting room, and the hosts gave us an excellent recommendation for a local restaurant Negative: Historical guesthouse rooms are not modern motel rooms. Everything felt a bit cramped. Nowhere to put luggage except on the floor. Our coats were too big for the cupboard. Tiny ensuite awkward to get into. Access path quite narrow and not well lit at night. BUT for the experience of luxury with a lovely historical atmosphere it's spot on. (Flat screen TV with no controller. Frustrating)

Positive: It is quite a charming b&b; and the breakfast provisions are well considered and lovely Negative: 1. The bed and pillows are soft / thin. Feels like cheap mattresses or they need an upgrade. 2. The noise from the highway. I think people should know it is close to the highway so you get car, truck and train noise. If you are a light sleeper, I would not recommend. 3. The night lights in the garden shine straight into the bedroom windows and there are no block out blinds

Loved the accommodation and ambiance Positive: Great historical building and room furnishings Negative: Shared Kitchen area was a bit small
