Quaint and Convenient Positive: Property is quaint with convenient self-service entry and breakfast. It is lovely that the owners make breakfast food accessible all day. We didn’t get a chance to meet the owners but did see them with other guests in the hallway; they seem friendly and accommodating. The property is old Victorian style with a traditional guesthouse layout—there was no noise from other guests. The adjoining garden is peaceful. Negative: The only thing that bothered me—unrelated to the property management itself—was the traffic noise, which is expected staying off the main highway. I am a light sleeper, so it was difficult to sleep. Earplugs could fix that. Otherwise, everything was great.

Positive: Lovely rooms and garden, very comfortable beds, quiet and good self-service continental breakfast. We loved having an ev charger available at the property. Negative: Nothing to dislike

Positive: We had an amazing stay at Rowan Brae Historic Guesthouse. The property is beautiful and full of character, the room was very comfortable, and everything was spotless. The location in Blackheath is perfect — peaceful, close to nature, and only a short drive to stunning lookouts. The hosts were warm and welcoming. Truly a lovely experience, highly recommended!

Positive: Clean and comfortable. Bed was a bit soft for me, but I like a very firm bed. Was nice sitting on the veranda watching the sun set.
