A comfortable, relaxing stay in a classic heritage style guesthouse Positive: In general, a charming and attractive environment. Heritage style decor, lovely gardens, comfortable beds, and generous breakfast included. Fresh flowers in rooms a nice touch. Quiet despite proximity to highway, and a short drive to town centre and good walking trails. Staff were not on site but most helpful when contacted by phone. Negative: Hardly anything. Possibly could do with some new pillows and light blankets for warmer weather.

Positive: We were pleasantly surprised by the wide range of breakfast and afternoon tea offerings freely available. the beds were comfortable and the location was very central.

A lovely place for a few nights Positive: I loved the location and the old world charm of the accommodation. It is close to the railway station and the shops. I also liked the 'help yourself' food options and fresh flowers. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the sheets were impeccably clean. The gardens are beautiful, and I loved the French doors that opened onto the gardens. The atmosphere is lovely. Negative: My room was dated in places (scratched furniture, stained curtain, wall marks) and needs a deep clean - I noticed the bathroom mirror wasnt clean or the shelves or soap dish in the shower and there was long term dust built up on the bathroom skirting boards. The antique furniture is lovely but needs repairs to fix scratches, wood splits, and broken knobs. The carpets throughout the premises need cleaning. The rooms are not serviced, and you need to ask for servicing and clean towels after a few days. On the last few nights of my stay, a small dog barked continuously on the other side of the private area doors until late into the evening. The water pressure was minimal in the shower.

Positive: Loction was fine, There was no staff interaction - it seemed a turn-key operation. It would have been nice to see the garden shown in the pictures but wasn't available ( at lst not obviously so) It was fine for a passing through accomodation but the lack of interaction wasn't a warm and fuzzy experience - just a place to sleep.
